Tomasz Tomaszewski

 

 

First concertmaster

of Deutsche Oper Berlin. After studying at the Music Academy in Warsaw, he completed his studies in Leningrad and Freiburg. As a member of the Polish Quartet he was a laureate of competitions in Belgrade and Munich. For many years he has been leading lively artistic activity as a soloist, chamber musician and conductor, performing with concerts all over the world. He is the founder and artistic director of the Kammersolisten der Deutschen Oper Berlin.


Professor Tomaszewski

has many recordings for labels in Poland, Germany and Japan. As a valued pedagogue, he is invited as a jury member of international competitions. Prof. Tomaszewski led master classes in Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan and Korea. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Jerzy Heller International Music Course in Opole and the Silesian Musical Summer Festival in Poland. From 2006, he is the president of Internationale Beethoven Foundation, and from 2013 is the president of the European Forum of Polish Music in Berlin of which he is a founding member. From 2018, he is also a professor at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
