Vasko Vassilev, Bulgarian violinist and conductor.
He has held the position of first concertmaster at London's Royal Opera House since 1993. Vassilev showed incredible talent from an early age and quickly established himself as a boy genius on the violin.
He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2010, on his 40th birthday, he published an autobiography entitled. "Vasko@40," and a year later he became one of the jurors of the Bulgarian version of the popular reality show "X FACTOR."
He is the founder and artistic director of Soloists of Covent Garden, London Chamber Orchestra that includes musical celebrities themselves. Since 2016, he has also served as artistic director of the Baltic Neopolis Orchestra. To his credit, he has worked with artists such as Plácido Domingo, Sting, the Rolling Stones and Vanessa Mae, who was his student.
